High Up In The Sky

Sup sup. Read up. haha. It ryhmes!

It all started yesterday when a friend of mine texted me and asked if I wanted to listen to a talk by Tun M. Hell yeah I want to! haha. I was actually walking along the corridors of FOE when I got the message and I shouted (to myself. I know, wtf) after I read the message, not realizing that, within a radius of two metres, there were four guys walking in the opposite direction. Luckily not good looking. HAHAHA. Just kidding. No really. Just... you know.

Anyway, today when I woke up (thanks Fid. =D) I was quite in a rush coz I didn't know what clothes and shoes to wear coz I don't have anything formal with me right now. However, when I opened my closet, I was quite glad to see a light green baju kurung on a hanger. I grabbed it and observed it. I grunted to myself and quickly ironed it for it was at its worst condition.
Looking at my phone, 7.24am was displayed on the screen. I was like, crap. I'm late.
When I looked at my shoes I was like, shoot me. I don't have anything suitable to wear. But then I gave a sigh of relieve when I saw a pair of decent black shoes that my mom gave a few weeks ago.
I started making my way down the stairs of my block, when I stopped and thought to myself, "I'm gonna get blisters all over my feet when I get back here". Well, thanks to the freakishly tight shoes and the torment I would get the whole time I walk in them but since I didn't have any other shoes to wear... too bad for me I guess. haha.

When I arrived at STAD there were like five people. ONLY. I was like, fuh! I'm not late. We waited till 8 something and then the first bus which I was in, made its way to the destination. I registered (found out I was actually under PLM. wow. I'm so proud of myself. =p), had breakfast and looked around the whole place which was filled with photographs of our former prime ministers, documents, countless tokens of appreciation etc..

We went into the hall and I sat in the third row from the stage in front, right in the middle of the row where I would be able to see Tun M and Tun Siti clearly. Okay then he arrived, our professor gave his speech (yeah whatever. haha.) and then Tun started his speech on "Leadership & Intercultural Relationship and Understanding". Oh yea, I didn't know it was actually a seminar till a new friend of mine told me. Right. A leadership seminar. Just great. haha. Surprisingly, it was great.
Okay I'm getting lazy to type out what really happened but I just gotta say this. Tun was really awesome. It was obvious that he is a man of wisdom. I don't know what else I can say. I'm sure everybody knows that he's an amazing leader.
Okay so after the talk, we had this Q & A session for one and a half hour. Despite being bombarded with questions throughout the session, he still had a cheerful face on and answered ALL of the questions that were directed to him with patience and calmness.

I was just amazed. That's all. I'll probably tell more later if I feel like it. haha.
Anyway, after the talk we had our lunch and after that was when I managed to get a photo with Tun M!! haha. =) *sigh*

[Thanks photoshop for your assistance. haha.]

After that we had this group discussion thing where we had to discuss the talk that was given and thus prepare ourselves for a presentation later. Mainly, our task was to think of events that would lead to integration of races and cultures. Luckily, my group mates were all amazing and intelligent and just LEADERS. haha. Not me though. But it was cool coz our advisor, Dr. Ong from the Faculty of Law, was really cool and helpful and friendly and all that. Plus, students from the Malacca campus were present too. So it was a hell lot of integration. Sort of. In a way. haha. Wait, not really. But still. Whatever. Excuse my erraticity.
Anyway, our leader was this Moroccan (woot!) guy, who's like freakin' tall. And the presenters were our leader himself, and Amar, a freakin' talkative, bubbly, funny and nice person. The whole thing was cool and fun. Shared a lot of stories and stuff. All in all, I think our group presentation was like the awesomest. haha. wth. I think it was somewhat more interesting than the groups before us. However, 2 or 3 groups after us did not do too bad. No, I'm not saying that I'm good at this leadership thing coz I really didn't contribute much during the discussion but I'm just saying that my group mates are mostly leaders. So there. haha.
Just to add up. Students as well as staffs from both campuses were present at the seminar.

After our presentations, Tun Siti Hasmah gave her speech, which was enjoyable of course. She's just sooo humble and polite and adorable and awesome. *sigh*
In case you're wondering, no I couldn't get a photo of just Tun Siti and me coz my phone betrayed me at that very precious moment but I managed to have a group photo. Unfortunatly, it wasn't taken using my phone so... God knows if I ever will get that photo. But, fear not my fellow homo sapiens, for I still have a photo of her feeding the Coil fishes. Go ahead. Say it. wtf. What? Feeding fishes is cool. Okay?

[*sigh* J'adore.]

Thanks Fid. =) Aku cari2 gak batang hidung ko. Tapi tak timbul2. haha.
Oh and I just gotta tell this. I talked to this awesome Mauritius guy. haha. =D
And congrats Catwai! I'm really happy to the power of infinity for you! =) haha. You know why.

Lastly, I'd like to thank the Almighty for this happening.
